Jules

Jules is an avid reader, skilled listener, compulsive storyteller and lousy keeper of secrets. She minored in Literature and majored in Community Studies at UC Santa Cruz, which primarily prepares one for non-profit work. It does not however prepare one for the harsh reality of non-profit salaries and exorbitant student loans. For this reason, she currently works as a freelance copywriter and editor.

Jules has been taking creative license with her life since the age of nine, has maintained a personal blog since 2001, taught therapeutic writing and is a former film critic. Actually she is still critical of many films, but no one is currently paying her for her insights. To be perfectly honest, there are a handful of people now paying her to “Please shut up while we watch the movie!”.

Jules has a weakness for Tennessee Whiskey, exotic spices, Resistance Literature and Tom Waits. She is barefoot as often as possible and believes that everyone should own both formal and casual pajamas. She currently lives with her husband Jeremy and The Dog Bob in California's Central Valley. Her son Micah is an artist and her daughter Ashlie might be in Tangier.
