The Genesis Project – Day Twenty One
Remy hangs up the phone. “Parker says Taggert isn’t going to let up. He just requested the Wakefield files.”
Emmaline sighs. “Hosting a staff dinner party is a wonderful way to spend this last NIGHT of sanity.”
“Glad I conned you into it,” he says, with a mischievous smile, “but why did you light the candles so early?”
“Because I’m going to take advantage of you by candlelight before our guests arrive.”
“Sweetheart! Where did you learn to behave so scandalously?”
She hooks his belt-loops and pulls him close. “Lose these pants, handsome, and I’ll tell you all about it!”
