This is the sixteenth of thirty entries for #BlogFlash2012.

I've chosen to link the prompts into a single story. Each episode will be 100 words or less, as per the guidelines. The prompt for each day will appear below the picture and be capitalized in the story.

The Genesis Project – Day Sixteen

Emmaline perches on the edge of the couch. “Counseling isn’t your strong suit, Dr. Rasmussen.”

His pen hits the desk. “Mrs. Walsh! I’ll thank you to –”

She shrugs. “I don’t mean to offend. It’s just that this clinical environment is at cross purposes with your social nature.”

He leans back in his chair. “Is this another deflection?”

“Not at all. I simply find myself wondering why an engaging and empathetic practitioner is wasting his career as a corporate drone when an entirely DIFFERENT WORLD is within his grasp.”

He sighs. “I ask myself that very question every day.”
