The Genesis Project – Day Seven
She finds him at Bruno’s, eating ribs and knocking back old fashioneds. Sitting beside him, she says. “You gonna tell me about the Walshes?”
“No.”
“So, what? You’re pissed I cut my vacation short?”
Rasmussen slams his glass on the counter. “Damn it, Paulina! She’s not going to just let us ride off into the SUNSET! You were safe at that resort.”
“What I was, Raz, was lonely. Hey, let’s order some grilled shrimp.”
He sighs. “Woman, you're a real piece of work!”
“Right? Good thing I know how to get therapy on the cheap,” she says, kissing his cheek.

Day Four: BUSY
Day Five: FRUSTRATION
Day Six: READING

And the plot thickens even more. It will be pea soup before we know it. So tantalizing, reading teeny snippets of story like this. I'm enjoying the journey. I think of them as my daily Hershey's Kisses in word form. Getting "therapy on the cheap".. hehe cracks me up!
Thanks for the great reading, Ruth!
I love the humor of this Paulina character. Nice writing like always
Love it!
I'm really enjoying this whole story!
Catching up with this one and sooo intrigued!
I really like Paulina – she's so ballsy! I'm playing catch up, but really intrigued where this is going.
I like the way you have introduced Paulina. Not sure I like Rasmussen, though!
"Therapy on the cheap" – I like it! What's their story I wonder..?
how does he do it
Paulina sounds like a very fun person to be around . . unlike 'Raz' an odd couple. . . again questions. . . this really is clever Ruth. xx
Another totally distinct character – I don't know how you do it. I wish I did!
“What I was, Raz, was lonely. Hey, let’s order some grilled shrimp.” Fantastic!!!
